Behind the multi-unit agreement are business partners Ankush Agrawal and Rushik Solanki which operate as Makers LLC. As friends who both reside in the great dallas market, the duo was looking for a new business venture to undertake together. Agrawal brings years of construction and property management experience to the team, while Solanki has a background in business management, training and operations. With complementary skills, they are eager to grow their franchise portfolio – optimistic that even more Bad Ass cafes will be added in the years to come.

“The name Bad Ass Coffee caught our attention right away, and we were even more impressed when we started exploring the franchise opportunity,” Agrawal said. “The Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii brand is built around a culture of ‘ohana – family – and it really is that. The entire management team has been incredibly supportive – there is a strong infrastructure and a clear vision for growth. It’s really exciting to step into the ground level of an emerging brand with immense opportunity, and know that you are playing a part in its evolution.”

Their first location will open at 3800 Miles Road in Saxony with a Q4/Q1 target opening date. Two more stores are slated to open in 2023 and the final two stores in 2024. Their openings will follow Bad Ass Coffee’s debut in the state with its first Texas opening of pitch in the big Dallas Fort Worth area by Q4.

“One of the main differentiators is Bad Ass Coffee’s roots in Hawaiian culture,” Solanki said. “Knowing that they have long-standing partnerships with multi-generational Hawaiian coffee farmers is not only appealing from a supply chain perspective, but the product itself is second to none. They harvest some of the coffee beans of the highest quality in the world, which translates into a superior product that we are able to offer our customers.”
