Best Cyclotron Systems Announces Successful Initial Factory Acceptance Test for B6–15 MeV Proton Cyclotron


VANCOUVER, British Columbia & OTTAWA, Ontario & WASHINGTON – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – On June 30, 2021, teams from Best Cyclotrons Systems (BCS in Vancouver, Canada) and sister company Best Theratronics Ltd. The new cyclotron B6-15 has a beam current capability of up to 1000 µA with production targets that operate at high currents, providing maximum efficiencies of positron emitters and neutron beams. The energy range is now adjustable from 6 MeV to 15 MeV. This is especially important for the production of gallium-68 where lower energy is required to remove gallium-67 contamination. Regular maintenance checks are carried out by the BCS help desk in North America.
