Did you know there is a haunted chocolate factory in the Adironda

Halloween is all about candy and a good spooky experience. This year you can combine the two in one place with a short drive to Barkeater Chocolates in North Creek, New York.

According to the Haunted History Trail, the Barkeater Chocolate Factory is full of unexplained experiences. Many believe that the tragedy of one particular family is what lies behind the ghostly encounters. It is said that one of the family’s children died outside the house in a tragic accident. The mom mysteriously disappeared shortly after death only to return years later. Separately, it was confirmed that the couple who owned the house died in two different rooms in the house.

Today, the Barkeater Chocolate Factory not only makes delicious treats, but it also focuses on its haunted history with the “Haunted Factory Chocolate Factory”. You can make sweet chocolate ghosts while listening to unexplained real-life events and sometimes mysterious historical facts about the property.

Hear firsthand accounts of some frightening events combined with the sometimes mysterious, sometimes tragic and often scandalous history of our very old building and grounds. Tour guides suggest that Mature children are welcome to join the group, at the discretion of their guardians.

This 90-minute Haunted Factory experience is for small groups of 2-8 people for $ 30 per person. Perhaps you will feel some of the unexplained sounds of voices, footsteps and snapping of a ghost they named Miranda. Apparently, Miranda has even been blamed for turning the thermostat to 85 degrees at times.
