TEMPE, Arizona., January 12, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — EMD Electronics, the North American electronics business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, today announced a new plant in the greater Phoenix, Arizona for the manufacture of equipment for its Delivery Systems & Services (DS&S) activity. As part of the Level Up program, the $28 million the investment will enable DS&S to capture and grow its gas and chemical delivery systems business in the targeted regions of North America and Europe, with additional capacity to provide Asia. The plant will operate on a new property in Chandler, AZ and has been secured by a long-term lease. The company plans to start operations in the new plant by the end of 2022. At full ramp-up, the workforce will reach over 100 employees in total.
