WILMINGTON — Before the Wilson Center brings Roald Dahl’s musical “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” to town next month, the community will have a chance to win tickets to the production.

According to a news release, staff at the Wilson Center hid six golden tickets at businesses in New Hanover County. To find tickets, Wilson Center staff will post clues on their Facebook and Instagram pages beginning Monday, March 28.

Those who find them will win two tickets to the musical, which will take place in Wilmington on April 26 and 27.

“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” features songs from the original movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, starring Gene Wilder – “Pure Imagination”, “The Candy Man” and “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket”.

Tickets must be redeemed at the Wilson Center box office (703 N. 3rd St.). Contest instructions and rules will be available on the Wilson Center website.
