Berks Surveying and Engineering Inc.

Berks Surveying & Engineering Inc. of Fleetwood announced two appointments.


Robert D. Hain was named Vice President. He is a PA-licensed surveyor, sewage control officer, licensed drone pilot, senior draftsman/designer, and administrator of the company’s engineering and surveying departments. Hain will oversee land development services for the company’s commercial, residential and agricultural projects.


Amanda Marbarger has been appointed as the Estimates Manager, Agricultural Planning Specialist and is certified in Nutrient Management. She will assist commercial, residential and agricultural clients with their zoning, subdivision, permitting, NRCS 590 and PA Act 38 plans and nutrient management planning needs.

Pottstown Hospital—Tower Health

James A. Cook, DNP, MBA, RN, NE-BC has been appointed chief nursing officer of Pottstown Hospital. In this role, Cook will be responsible for the strategic, operational and financial performance of nursing and patient care services. Cook will be responsible for maintaining standards of nursing practice throughout Pottstown Hospital and its entities, ensuring the practice environment focuses on the ANCC Magnetic Model and supports excellence in the practice and delivery of care.


Cook joined Reading Hospital in 2014 as Unit Manager and has held several key positions including Operations Manager, Emergency and Observation Services Division and Senior Manager, Emergency Services Division. He also served as Acting Director of the Emergency Department at Pottstown Hospital in 2022. Most recently, he was Senior Director of Clinical Operations for Tower Health.

Cook earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago; his Masters of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Downers Grove, IL; and her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Health Systems Branch from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago.

Entech Engineering

Bryon Killian, PE, has been promoted to Business Unit Manager of Entech Engineering’s Civilian Environmental Resources Business Unit. He succeeds Robert Weir, PE, who will assume the role of Chairman later this year. In this role, Killian will oversee all facets of the business unit including engineering/design, resource management, business development, project management and customer management for municipal customers, water and wastewater and industrial environmental services.


Killian joined Entech in 2002 and was promoted to Director in 2013. As Director, he played a key role in the growth of Entech’s civil and environmental services, leading business development and working with numerous clients while supporting successfully delivering wastewater, water and stormwater projects involving system operation and evaluation, data analysis, permits and engineering services from design to construction .

Killian holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Wastewater Operator in Pennsylvania. He resides in Schuylkill County with his family.
