Local art gallery, 4P Studios is hosting an auction to help support Ukraine

AUGUSTA, Georgia (WJBF)4P studios is an art gallery, custom frame store, art education center and artist management company.

Throughout the year, 4P Studios showcases local Augusta artists.

Now the studio plans to hold an auction to help Ukraine.

“Last week the conversations on everyone’s mind are Ukraine and how can we help and what to help, and a lot of people I’ve spoken to, artists, friends and family, there is a feeling of helplessness everywhere.. How to give back to something that is completely on the other side of the world,” said owner Regina Brejda.

That’s when fellow artist Rachel Bingaman of Bing Art decided to auction off her own piece.

This started a conversation about opening the auction to other artists.

There was a great response from other artists to help the cause.

Currently, approximately 30 artists have committed works to the auction, with some artists hailing from California, New Jersey and Maryland.

4P Studios expects these numbers to increase and the deadline for submitting work for the auction is March 5.

If you are an artist and would like to submit your work, you can email [email protected]

Proceeds from the auction will go to support, Aquatic missions. They have a group on the ground and at the border, assessing immediate needs and partnering with other humanitarian organizations.

If you would like to support by buying something during the auction, keep an eye out for 4P Studios social media account.

The will be live, and although the auction site is not yet live, they plan to have the auction live by 3/17 and run for 3-4 days.

“When you have the opportunity to use your talents in a positive way to give back, I think it’s like volunteering at your local soup kitchen, which I think is also important. We also need to support our local community, but it’s definitely something that’s at the forefront of many topics of conversation between groups right now. So what can we do, and this is one of the ideas we came up with,” Brejda said.

If you miss the deadline to submit your art and still want to contribute, contact 4P Studios and they may be able to help.
