Local artists offer advice for a painting workshop to benefit the LRC

The Learning Resource Center will hold Paint & Sink 2022, an in-person or virtual paint shop, 6-8:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at The Well, 114 E. Parker St., Lakeland. Free valet service provided. Paint & Pour benefits from the LRC and scholarships for LRC students. Polk County Artist david collins will lead participants through a painting lesson. Two local artists, Aaron Corbitt and Gillian Fazio, will share their expertise and experience. Painting supplies are provided, along with a charcuterie platter by Sabrina’s Delicacies and a bottle of wine from a California vineyard. One must reserve. Over 4,500 locations will open to collect Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts – filled with school supplies, hygiene items and fun toys – for the Samaritan’s Purse project. Volunteers will collect shoeboxes during National Collection Week, November 14-21. The project partners with local churches around the world to donate these shoeboxes to children in need.
