The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will be offering its 2022 Waterfowl Workshop for waterfowl control operators on January 25.
Virtual instruction is scheduled from noon to 3:30 pm Registration by January 17th is required to participate. Once registered, participants will receive the link to the webinar and training material.
The workshop is required for all contractors wishing to achieve OMD qualification to perform waterfowl trapping, transporting, relocation and / or euthanasia for rent in Indiana during 2022.
All first-time MDGs must attend the workshop to be eligible to work as a MDG in 2022. Participation is also encouraged for all MDGs, but those who have attended the workshop in previous years can choose to submit to a test.

Employees of WCO subcontractors are welcome to attend the workshop, but it is only required for people who will physically perform the trapping, transport, relocation and / or euthanasia of waterfowl for location.
Those wishing to gain qualifying status for the euthanasia of geese for the first time will also be required to provide the division with a certificate of attendance at the Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators Association’s Goose Management Course or complete an approved equivalent eight-hour course. by the Division of Fish & Wildlife.
Before waterfowl management activities can be legally carried out, the MDGs must ensure that the DFW has received all the necessary documents.
