UK talent and facilities join Formosa Group
LOS ANGELES, August 18, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Streamland Media today announced that it has acquired London-sound installation based on Sonorous Trident. The company will join Streamland Media’s audio division, Formosa Group, further expanding its roster of preeminent talent and facilities in the UK.
The industry-leading founders of Sonorous Trident Mike Prestwood Smith and Howard Bargroff will join Formosa Group. In transforming Sonorous Trident into a world-class sound installation, Prestwood Smith and Bargroff have brought together a team of top artists to create a filmmaker-friendly dynamic center for sound at the highest level.

The addition of Sonorous Trident’s legendary studio to Streamland Media’s Formosa Group will create an important hub for filmmakers around the world. The Trident Studio at 17 St. Anne’s Court is where many influential musicians recorded historic albums from 1968 to 1981, including The Beatles, david bowie, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones. Renowned Trident facility expands Formosa Group’s global locations and amplifies Streamland Media’s unparalleled global support and offerings for content creators.
Prestwood Smith’s many credits as a re-recording mixer include Rocketman, Aladdin, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and several films in the Mission Impossible and James Bond franchises. He won the BAFTA award for best sound for Casino Royale (2007) and garnered 10 additional BAFTA Film nominations during her distinguished career. Prestwood Smith received an Oscar® nominations for his contributions to world news (2021) and Captain Phillips (2014).
