The March 26-27 workshop will teach participants about the different perspectives of digital journalism and help develop their self-confidence and ability to express themselves.
TRT’s Junior Journalism team will organize a digital journalism workshop for more than 50 young Turkish candidates in Vienna, Austria on March 26-27.
The workshop will be organized at the Vienna International Maarif Foundation Education Center with the cooperation of the Turkish Maarif Foundation.
The session will teach participants about the different perspectives of digital journalism and help develop their self-confidence and ability to express themselves.
Such workshops have been organized since 2017 under the aegis of TRT Junior Journalism Project (J4J)an initiative that is part of TRT’s human-centered journalism and broadcasting approach.
This award-winning project is the first of its kind launched by a global media network. The goal is to help young people realize their ability to lead change and use the power of digital media to elevate human values.
As part of the program, the Journalism for Juniors team – which includes volunteers as well as experienced TRT journalists – trains young people in the basics of journalism, written and spoken storytelling, filming and video editing on mobile devices.
Workshops have been held in more than 30 educational institutions in Turkey and abroad, benefiting more than 1,700 high school students from different social groups and geographical regions, especially those in disadvantaged situations.
