Vietnamese and Lao Parties organize their eighth theory workshop by videoconference | Politics

Hanoi (VNA) – The eighth theoretical workshop between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) took place via videoconference on December 16.

The CPV delegation to the workshop was headed by Chairman of Theoretical Council of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) Nguyen Xuan Thang; while the LPRP delegation was headed by the chairman of the Theoretical Council of the LPRP Central Committee and head of the Commission for Propaganda and Formation of the Central Party Committee, Khamphanh Pheuyavong.

In his remarks, Thang affirmed the role of the workshop in helping both sides to clarify the emerging theoretical and practical issues set out in the documents of the 13th PCV National Congress and the 11th LPRP National Congress, and to share their experiences, to strengthen mutual understanding to further deepen the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

Vietnamese and Lao scientists discussed new theoretical and practical issues introduced by the documents of both Parties on the construction and rectification of Parties and political systems; development of the socialist-oriented market economy, culture, national defense, security and external affairs, and matters of common interest.

Theoretical Councils of the parties signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2022-2026 during the event. /.
