The new organization was created to enable greater synergies and accelerate growth by leveraging Wipro’s common dealer network, as well as customer service, the company said in a statement.
“Wipro is merging its lighting and commercial seating solutions to create a combined business unit,” the statement read.
The new unit will be led by Anuj Dhir – Vice President and Head of Commercial and Institutional Affairs.
“By combining the commercial lighting and seating solutions businesses, we aim to offer broader solutions to our customers in the B2B (business-to-business) space and deliver more value,” said Dhir.
Dhir further added that “it will give us the opportunity to make more investments in existing markets, while opening up new segments and markets. We will also consider adding more products and solutions for our customers.”
Wipro Consumer Care started the Lighting business in 1992. Over the years, the business has grown in both the B2B and B2C (business-to-consumer) segments to make Wipro a strong player in the category. .
